Sculptra in Chicago is being offered at Refine Medical Spa.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra® Aesthetic (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) is indicated for use in people with healthy immune systems to correct shallow to deep nasolabial folds, contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles.

How does Sculptra work?

Sculptra Aesthetic is administered over a series of injection sessions and works subtly, improving facial areas gradually. It stimulates the production of your body’s own collagen for a naturally rejuvenated  appearance.

How does Sculptra promote collagen?

Collagen stimulators are used to diminish facial wrinkles by helping to restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Results appear gradually over the treatment regime (typically three injections over the course of three to four months) and can last up to two years.

Sculptra Aesthetic works with your body within the deep dermis, rather than topically, to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume.

Which parts of the body is Sculptra used on?

Cheekbones and temples are the most common areas treated. However, many patients see great benefits from Sculptra when injected in the chin and the jawline. Many people opt to reverse the signs of aging on their chest area by having Sculptra injected in their chest wrinkles and folds.

How soon before I see the results of Sculptra?

The results of Sculptra are not immediate. The effects generally take 4-6 months to fully develop, depending upon a variety of factors, such as volume loss and age. Patients should see full results by the 9th month.

Is Sculptra permanent?

No, eventually your body will reabsorb the poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra will last about two years.

‘80%of Sculptra Aesthetic users still rated their results as “good” or “excellent” 25 months after treatment.’

Does Sculptra hurt?

No. The doctor will admisnter a local anesthetic to numb all areas of injection.

Is there any downtime with Sculptra?

No, there may be some discomfort or swelling that can be allievated with ice packs

What are the side effects of Sculptra?
